Welcome to CISC
Canadian Independent School Counsellors is an organization whose members are counselling professionals with a focus on post-secondary and careers, working in independent and private schools across the country and in off-shore Canadian institutions around the world. CISC works to provide meaningful professional development for its members and to facilitate opportunities for communication and collaboration between counselling colleagues.
Our Mission
To promote collaboration and professional development and to be the voice for Canadian independent school counsellors.
Regional Professional Development
Our membership is organized into geographical regions: British Columbia, the Prairies, Greater Ontario, Metropolitan Toronto, Quebec, and the Maritimes Regions. Regional Vice Presidents work to connect members on a local level and promote professional development that is tailored to them.
Your Executive Committee
The CISC Executive is an elected committee of volunteers lead the organization and work to further its mission over its two-year term, commencing at the National Conference. Along with the President and Past-President, the committee includes Vice Presidents representing each region, and the Chair of the next National Conference. This team meets regularly, virtually and in-person, to generate ideas and initiatives to move CISC forward.
